Once in a while it's nice to try to see what it's like for the visitors. Of course it's hard, because I already understand why things are the way they are, and most of the other volunteers recognize me, but on the whole I think we do a very good job.<br /><br />I couldn't resist walking through the train and listening to the motors, though. I keep hoping that if anything is about to go wrong I'll hear it first. And on Saturday I was reminded that the North Shore cars have a completely different set of sounds than the CA&E woods. But so far everything seems to be working fine.<br /><br />My daughter hadn't been out for at least ten years, and she was very favorably impressed with the improvements, such as the diner annex. That's a good sign.
