Did the birthday festivities include a trip to the IRM Safety Shoe Store (see troop sleeper in background)? I guess this was the first, failed attempt at some revenue-generating commerce at IRM before the used book store came around.
The Safety Shoe Store came to us from some place like Allis-Chalmers, but I do not now remember for sure. Help, anyone? (We've always had a book store/gift shop; it was located in the depot waiting room.)
