Fourth of July (Bang!) in the Pacific

Seventy years ago, my late father-in-law was fighting in the Pacific (as was my father, for that matter.)  They gave him this nifty, educational calendar, which he kept.  Maybe you didn't realize we were fighting two enemies in the Pacific.
