This will be brief. Before painting starts today, let's check how it looks. With two coats, it has dried to a fairly good black color. I must say that it doesn't look as uneven when viewed in person as it does in this picture. The lighting in the barn makes picture taking difficult.
After a few hours of painting, which goes faster now that the canvas doesn't soak up the paint like it used to, the still-wet paint looks nice and dark. But if I had it to do over again, I'd be tempted to try the Sherwin-Williams method of dumping a huge bucket of paint over the car and letting it run down on all sides. It would be quicker.
Be that as it may, I was left with a couple of hours to spend sorting parts and disassembling a few more seat frames from the 300.
You know, I can see you sitting there right now at your computer. I bet you're a coward. I bet you don't have the courage, the intestinal fortitude to visit IRM's Train of Terror tomorrow night. Admit it, you're a wimp. Or prove me wrong.
I wanna see it painted, painted black
ReplyDeleteBlack as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black
Yes, we want it painted black.
ReplyDeleteJust don't paint that red door black!
