Painting the new canvas on the 319 started today. About 3/4 of the canvas was covered with a first coat before time ran out.
It's amazing how much of this thin paint the canvas can soak up. Between 7 and 8 gallons were required to do 3/4 of the roof, and even then, some sections still look rather light grey. But at least two more coats will be required, so this process will take a while.
This afternoon, though, I started to hear occasional screams of fear in the distance. I have no idea what that was about, but I was filled with terror at the sound. Wouldn't you be? It would be a real relief if anyone can identify what was happening....
