From the Schmidt Photo Collection, the Quebec Railway Light and Power.
Built as a steam road, this line provided much of its passenger service with standard passenger cars pulled by electric locomotives. It was a subsidiary of the CN. Electric operation lasted until 1959. I especially like the horse-drawn sleighs picking up the mail from the interurban train. And in one picture, there's a man getting his news from "Le Soleil".
