Joe Reuter, a longtime IRM regular member who for many years was the museum's volunteer comptroller, died last week on February 27th at the age of 76. Joe was a traction fan, a CSL fan in particular, and at one time served as president of CERA in addition to his roles at IRM. He was also responsible for saving a trove of drawings and records relating to CSL 4001 from being thrown away at Pullman, making it possible to accurately document that car's design and history. For a very long time he was a fixture in the IRM office and worked tirelessly in one of the thankless "behind the scenes" jobs as one of the caretakers of the museum's finances. He will be missed.
