The Rockhill Collection, Pt. 2

We continue with photographs from the Rockhill collection, recently received.  First, some shots of the South Shore in the snow.   All taken at South Bend in 1944.

Car 104 in the yard, with the old line car behind it:

Next, some pictures of Charles City Western car 53, which we've seen before in the Schmidt Collection.  This was a 1910 Jewett built for the Shore Line Electric in Connecticut:

Next, several views of the Illinois Terminal.

Car 101 in a train heading north along street trackage in St. Louis on Hadley at about Howard:

Car 284 (I think) and a trailer at the same location.  The 284 was identical to our 277.

And here (I think) is the 415, about a block south at Mullanphy Street, northbound on street trackage in St. Louis:

Cars 471 and 472 inbound at Cass in St. Louis, about to enter the subway:

Next, two Class C's double-heading a train at Edwardsville.

In this case, the photographer identifies them as Class "1".  Where did he get his information?!?

And a Class C coupled to a Class D.

A St. Louis Public Service sprinkler at the yard off of Spring & Vista, with Firmin Desloge Hospital in the background:
