The latest update on CTA trolley bus 9631

Thanks to Richard Schauer for sending along another update of progress on the 9631:

Steady, if slow, progress to report.  The upper half of the back end is mostly complete.  As the pictures show, the street side had a good-sized dent that they pulled.  This entails drilling holes into it and using a pulling hammer to get the metal back to somewhere near the right place, and then covering what's left (and filling the holes) with mud.  I don't know how much of this they did on the curb side, because they had already finished with it when I saw it.  They were also doing something with the aluminum extrusion at the belt rail, although I wasn't able to work out quite what and the shop owner and foreman were not available to talk this week.
