Today was the first Day Out With Thomas this year, and everything was a huge success, it seemed. We had a large crowd of people, and everyone I dealt with was having a great time. What more could you want?
I was on streetcar relief, and I had a blast. I got to operate three different streetcars, and conducted on two of them.

Of course, my old buddy Roger never misses a beat. He was out in front of Barn 3 selling his fund-raiser cookies, as always.
Before the real work started, though, and the regular crews needed relief, I had some time to do some small but important Car Dept. tasks. I rigged up a replacement whistle cord for the 36 and installed it.
randy,
ReplyDeleteI hope that some of the money raised by Thomas The Bank Engine can
go to repairing the bad motor in the C A & E #308.

Well... the issue is more than money, although money always helps. We've run into problems with some of the machines we've had rebuilt recently, and until we have more definitive answers on what the problems (and therefore solutions) are, the 308's motor will remain on hold. But then there are two machines on the 309 that have never been serviced, and I'd like to get them dipped and baked at a minimum, so contributions are always welcome!
ReplyDeleteAs for Thomas money, there are always general Museum needs that will come first. And even I can only agree with that!
Why does Thomas and Percy have paint ball splotches all over them? I assume some special theme this year?
ReplyDeleteWe all wondered about that also. You'd have to be more in touch with the latest Thomas doings to explain it. We certainly don't want to encourage graffiti, but we just run whatever they send us.
