I got out to IRM a bit later than usual Sunday but still managed to make some progress. The focus was Shaker Heights 63, which is receiving a quickie paint job. I completed spot-priming the front end and left (blind) side of the car as shown here.
Don't get used to all that white paint and primer, it won't be around for very long - at least, not if I can help it! For some reason, the left side of the car is more deteriorated than the right side, especially along the roof line. Maybe the car sat for a number of years with the door side exposed to more sunlight and, thus, drying out more quickly - who knows. After dinner, I had a little bit of time and masked off a couple more seat backs in the 18. Now that the car is cleared for occasional revenue service, I want to finish the job we started last fall of painting all the seats. In other news, Joel was working on various things including cleaning out Barn 4; Zach and Good Nick replaced a couple of faulty control resistors under CRT 1797; and Nathan and Mikey were working on switch moves in Barn 7.
