The Denver and Intermountain had two interurban lines to Golden, one of which was narrow gauge. The narrow gauge line had originally been built to supply coal to the main powerhouse in downtown Denver. Both the Denver streetcar lines and the interurbans were operated by the same company. All electric railway service ended in 1950. Mt. Schmidt was able to get pictures of these lines just before abandonment.
Note that the narrow gauge cars were numbered with decimals, such as ".02" whereas the standard gauge cars were numbered with integers.
