The Lone Star Cement 25-tonner was used to extract the reefers. Here it's got Swift 15802, a 40' ice bunker car built in 1956.
Next up is Swift 15833, an identical car. Both of these two reefers were acquired from East Troy in 1989.

The track does keep going, and is tied in with track 42 inside the barn, but this section has been buried under the access road for many years.
And now for something completely different: Bill has been working on rebuilding third rail beams for the 1754. This one, sporting some fresh epoxy, will go onto the trailer truck.
These completed third rail beams will go onto the 1754's motor truck.
The front end (west end) of track 42 used to have Sirinek's shop car, which was CTA S-373 before it was sold to the East Troy gang. With a shop in a container, that car was surplused. At the time, there were about 4 NSL MD cars hanging around and a few wood sided reefers. This was circa 1980-84 I recall. The 42 and 43 were extended in the mid 80s when additional cars came from East Troy, and Track 41 was made operational. O. Anderson
