Oddball Museums

If you're reading this blog, you must be interested in railway museums, and of course there are many fascinating museums of various sorts, of art, history, culture, and technology of many kinds.  But on the borders of sanity there are also others of limited appeal.  A while back I threatened to come up with a list of them, and here it is.

Naturally, this is just a product of my own personal tastes.  I have never been to any of these, and for good reason -- why would I want to visit a museum of death, garbage, or torture?  And then there are museums of food and drink.  I like cocktails as much as the next man, but what is there to look at?  You're better off going to the nearest tavern.

Of course, additional suggestions are welcome... maybe.

Museum of:

In:

Just another reason to be glad you're associated with a museum you can actually be proud of!

Thanks, Buzz. I happen to like actual Spam, but again, what is there to look at?

I had a friend that went to the Museum of Sanitary Plumbing once. He said it was a pretty crappy experience.

Frank,
I have been to the Ice Cream Museum in SF; they have Mint Chocolate to die for!
They can keep most of the others on your list!

Thanks, Ted, that's quite interesting. Did they tell you how long the ice cream had been in the museum before they let you taste it?

Yeah, the ice cream museum sounds like a winner.
