All preserved CA&E cars had the essentially the same set of car cards in them when they were acquired by the various museums, I believe, so I was surprised to find two in the 453 that I hadn't seen before. They appear to be authentic, but I don't know that for sure.
This is unusual only in being from a paid advertiser - by 1957 most cards were public service announcements that Chicago Car Advertising provided for free. Mr. Peanut is still with us, unlike most of the other advertisers.
This one is a little strange. It's not clear what exactly this booklet, "The Future of America" from the Advertising Council, has to say. I wonder if anything they predicted back in 1957 actually came true.

I remember the 50s. I'm pretty sure the "The Future of America" booklet had something to do with capitalism good, socialism bad.
I was curious and did some Googling for "The Future of America" book. Someone put up a few pages and some excerpts from it, but I can't find the whole thing online. It was part of a small series of booklets promoting consumerism and economic growth through consumption in the post-WWII period. It was put out in 1954.
