Winter Agenda

Here's what we have planned for winter and early spring:
308/309:

  • Drill and install the new seat frame castings. The drilling will require some precision setup, and can be done in the (heated) shop. Helpers here would be welcome. Installation in the car should be fairly straightforward. It would be nice to have all the walkover seats working.
  • Replace the harps on all four poles with the new design. I've already started on this; need one more kit.
  • Have new folding sign latches made. I just need to contact a foundry on this one.
  • And finally, of course, inspection!
277:
  • Continue on roof work. Still some woodworking to be done in the shop.
  • Order canvas
  • Cleaning and sorting of parts inside the car.
757 - In the spring, paint the roof boards and put a new coat of tar on the roof, particularly the section I replaced.
300 - Promised help to Pete Galayda in checking out the electrical system.
205 - Install roof boards, trolley hooks, stands and bases

Upcoming articles:
  • Moving the IRR 205 from Yakima to Union
  • History of ERHS
So, that ought to be enough to keep busy with. Let us know if you want to help!
