The operating schedule for the 308 and 309 for the coming year has been tentatively decided. We're planning on conducting annual inspections in May, after which the cars will be released for regular service. The plan is to operate the two cars together on May 25th (Memorial Day), 30th and 31st, June 13th, 14th, 27th and 28th, July 4th (Trolley Pageant and public operations), 11th, 12th, 25th and 26th, August 1st and 2nd (Vintage Transport Day), September 7th (Labor Day), 12th, 13th, and 19th (Member's Day/Museum Showcase Weekend). This will be the first full year of operation for the "blue train" since 2006 and will total 18 operating days, or about half of the weekend and special event days between Memorial Day and Member's Day. The goal is to not only provide something a bit different for our visitors - especially on non-special event days - but also to give the good old North Shore cars a break!
