Open House -- IRR 65

Jon Fenlaciki has been heading up the project to redo the interior of IRM's first car, Indiana Railroad 65, with newly-made seats of the correct type.  It took a lot of time and money.  But as you can see here, the result is stunning!  The car will be open for a static fantrip tomorrow from 1 to 4 PM.   If you're going to be out at IRM for the safety meeting/rules test/annual meeting festivities, you won't want to miss it!

What happened to the previous seats that came from the CA&E's exWB&A cars?

That is a beautiful job of restoration to one of our first cars and a historic one at that. Kudos to the guys that did it.

Just remember the safety meeting starts at 1 for anyone who will be operating during the 2015 season.

So, is no one going to answer Don Bosan? The "new" seats in the IRR 65 are actually the same ex-WB&A seats that were re-contoured to look as close to the original IRR seats as possible. A sample seat from Seashore Trolley Museum was borrowed as a pattern. Bill Wulfert
