Just got back from a delightful visit to Starved Rock State Park. I could start inserting pictures of canyons and so forth, but instead let's look at this interesting display in the Lodge of old-time pictures of the park. At the right is an electric car on the CO&P on its way to Starved Rock. At least that's what they want you to believe.
Unfortunately it's not a very good picture, and I suspect it was taken a while ago. I don't know if we can identify the motorman with any confidence. It's also suspicious that beneath the roll sign, we appear to have a visitor from another planet. But stranger things have happened.

Back in the day, did the Illinois Terminal actually serve the park?

The Illinois Valley Division, or Chicago and Illinois Valley, served the park indirectly. The tracks were on the north side of the river, so you had to take a small ferryboat over to the park itself. When it was operating on the IVDIV, the 415 was numbered 64 and had a completely different paint scheme.
