The photo marked Waxahachie with the courthouse in the background is actually taken in Hillsboro TX. Hill County Court House.
what archive holds the Schmidt Photo Collection? Do you have links to the collection?
Right now the Schmidt Photo Collection is still in my office, but it will be placed in the Strahorn Library soon. All the pictures I've scanned in are available on this blog under the photo collection label, but that's the only link you're probably ever going to get.
I should point out that the collection also includes a great number of color photos taken at IRM in the 1998-2005 period by Pete, mostly roster shots and so forth taken for Rail and Wire purposes, I believe. I'm afraid I just don't have the enthusiasm for scanning them all in and posting them, so if anybody wants to take over this job I'll be glad to hand over the photos.
And thanks for the correction on the Texas picture.
