Union Pacific Sign Lighting

Saturday evening we had the dedication ceremony for the refurbished Union Pacific sign.  It was originally installed over the UP's headquarters in Omaha, and brought to the Museum in 2002 or so.  And it was lit for the first time during the ceremony.  Notice the huge knife switch in front of the podium, provided by the Car Dept.  That's IRM at its finest.

There were brief speeches by Nick Kallas, Jason Maxwell, Dave Diamond, and a representative from the UP named Liisa Stark (thanks to Bob Opal for recalling this). A good time was had by all.  Photos by Chuck Amstein.
