Simms Collection -- More CA&E!

I just discovered another treasure trove of  CA&E photos from the Simms collection that I hadn't even looked through yet.  As usual, captions below the pictures are copied from the prints.

We'll start with the jewel of the fleet:

note the three man crew
CA+E at Glen Ellyn
309
I can't find the negative
of  this one I think this was
1938 or 1939
The other car was probably 306
The window glass was already boarded up

And next, a complete roster of box motors!

June 22, 1943

#7:

Mar 26, 1944

#9 and #3:

Jan 1945

#11:

Jan 5, 39

Mar 26, 1944

There was never a #13.  #15:

And various in-service pictures:

451 still in the Futura, hitting the IC diamond at Elmhurst.  Coming soon to a museum near you:

Car 16 on the Batavia shuttle, passing under the route 25 bridge:

A view you don't often see: looking down from the tower.  In this view, the Elgin train could be either eastbound or westbound.

Interior photos are always interesting.  This appears to be car 10, but the baggage racks are not what I would expect.

Next, a couple of freight crew pictures:

March 9, 1946
L to R
Goose Martin, Ralph Gargo(?)
Mr. Keck & Frank Krejcek

Motorman Lyle Keck
Frank
Frank Krejcek

(So that's 2 1/2 names for four men.  What can I say?)

Finally, some fan trips!

This is the Illini Railroad Club at Batavia, of course, and I believe the 316 is behind the 317:

Probably the CERA.  Not sure of the location.

Probably the CERA trip of Aug. 6, 1939, last trip on Aurora street trackage.  The 419 is the regular service car.  I guess we have a railfan from Yale!
