Bus With an Interesting Pedigree

Our staff photographer, Chuck Amstein, writes:

Here's one of the buses that took us to interesting Virginian Ry. sites at the 2013 Norfolk & Western Historical Society convention.  It was built by the same company that built the New Orleans streetcars, Perley A. Thomas Car Works (renamed to Thomas Built Buses in 1972, still in business today).  The driver, who also owns the bus, is an N&WHS member.  The bus is normally used to haul senior citizens around the Mullens, WV area.

I too am wondering how these bus fans got here, but I guess we gotta keep 'em happy!
