The new casting arrived in the mail today. As you can see, it's larger than the original and somewhat different in shape, but a big improvement over the cup hooks used earlier. Now I need to decide whether it's worthwhile buying more of them. Our usual policy in such circumstances is to put off taking a decision until the parts are no longer in production. That makes it easy.

If they are not hollow castings you could have one of the metal workers put them on a grinding wheel and shape them a little bit.
But as you say a nice find!
