We finally got to ride the Fort Collins streetcar, just before the operating season ended. This line operates an original Fort Collins car on one of the original routes, so everything is as authentic as you could find.
The west end of the operating route, at this little stop in the city park.
Most of the route is in the center of this boulevard. Sort of like St. Charles, but not so busy.
There's a block or two down the middle of the street towards the park.
Birney #21, built in 1919 by American, has been completely restored and looks great. Car #25 is being restored in the old carbarn, and they have plans to extend the line several blocks to the barn.
East end of the track, near downtown. Fort Collins is an interesting old city to visit.
Changing ends.
At one point, there are the remains of a passing siding.
And for a very reasonable fare, you can get some nifty souvenirs. For a round trip, you get a token (larger size for adults, smaller size for children or seniors) which you hand back to the conductor, and then a transfer for the return trip, whenever you want to come back. I purchased one of each to keep.
