I've decided to turn "Lightbox" back on -- it makes viewing the photos from recent posts much more convenient. The drawback is that some pictures in some of the much older posts cannot be seen at all. It's too bad we can't set it up so the user could choose the setting, but that's the way it is for now.
It's very easy for me to turn Lightbox on and off, so if you want to see something from one of the older pages, let me know and we could have a temporary session with it off. But setting Lightbox on seems to be what the majority of users will want.
