My old buddy Jeff probably won't object to my reposting his picture here from RyPN, since I failed to get a picture of it myself. Our Rock Island GP7 has just been repainted in its most recent service paint scheme:

From an aesthetic standpoint, I'd say this is a ludicrous and hideous paint scheme. And why would anybody choose white for the parts that will get dirtiest the fastest? But from an objective standpoint, of course the Diesel Dept. have done another excellent restoration to be proud of. When I was operating last Saturday, several visitors remarked on how beautiful the Burlington 504 looked. That, at least, I could agree with!
