Thanks to Richard Schauer for forwarding along the latest on our CTA Marmon-Herrington trolley bus, now at a paint shop in Elgin for exterior restoration work:
Body work is nearing completion! As you see in these pictures, rear upper corner work is done, and work is finishing up on the lower corners. They still haven't gotten to putting the back compartment door back together, though. The owner said that he expected "major" body work to end this week, and preparation for paint to begin- finish sanding, fixing detail spots, that sort of thing.
The current thinking puts completion around the end of February.
