More Happy Holiday

Saturday was another busy installment of Happy Holiday Railway, and I'm told every trip was sold out.  I was the conductor on the 4391 again, and I was unable to get many pictures.  It was basically the same as last time.  But at least here's a picture of the crew, with the motorman this time being Paul Cronin.  A good time was had by all.

It takes lots of dedicated people to keep something like this going -- for instance:

When it started to get dark, we noticed that part of the long freight train on the steam leads had gone dark.  That's one of the most striking parts of all the lighting throughout the property, and soon some members were out there in the cold, damp darkness with flashlights to figure out what had gone wrong.  (Of course, I couldn't see who they were...)  But soon enough, the entire train was back on.  That's real dedication!
