The 315 is seen in what could have been a publicity shot, taken in the 1930's during one of those rare periods when most of the CA&E fleet was homogeneously painted, in this case in "coffee and cream" colors.

These two cars were ordered in May 1907 from the Hicks Locomotive and Car Works and delivered in October. For further details consult my History of the 309. They were equipped at Wheaton and entered service early in 1908.
