One of the most ambitious projects currently under consideration at IRM is an 850 kW solar farm, which would be installed on IRM buffer property to supply most or all of the Museum's electrical needs. Max Tyms is the leader of this project, and Pauline Trabert has created a website here with current information. If you have questions or comments, you can use the solar farm website, and there is an ongoing discussion on the Yahoo list. This project would certainly have a dramatic impact on the Museum, whether positive or negative, so it deserves careful consideration.
