More Blue Paint

I got a lot of painting done today.   That's about all there is to tell.

The motorman's valve still needed to be cleaned off, then it got primer.  I also cleaned off one side of the flap on the trap door with the big wire wheel, but didn't take a picture.

From there on, it was mostly first blue on all the sections of the vestibule that were still in primer.

These flash pictures, at least, make the blue appear much more splotchy than it appears in person.   Nonetheless, it will certainly require a second finish coat.

The vestibule is so narrow that I can't get far enough away to take a good picture of the pocket door.

And in other news, the signal guys have installed the point indicator, and to the left, the post for mounting the warning bell.

Today is the 98th anniversary of the Armistice.  When I was young, there were still a good number of WWI veterans around, and many people still referred to it as Armistice Day out of habit.   That seems impossibly long ago now.  We can only hope we don't have to go through something like that again.

On a lighter note, we're getting ready for Happy Holidays Railway, so tell your friends and family!
