TM Cars - Part 1

Next, we'll start on cars from The Milwaukee Electric system.  IRM has the only comprehensive collection from this line, including the only existing interurban cars, two streetcars, locomotives, work equipment of several sorts, freight cars, and buses.

Is the 966 a parts source car, or might it someday get at least a cosmetic restoration?

The 966 is a parts car. Its main function in life was to provide trucks and motors for the 354 about 40 years ago, and since then it's been sitting on freight car trucks. Also, the underframe is badly rusted and the floor is bent, as was the case with the 972 until Fred Perry repaired it many years ago. You can see some recent pictures of the 966 here:
