Quick stop

Frank writes...

Wednesday saw a quick trip out to IRM to meet with Mark Bennett, a reporter with the Terre Haute Tribune-Star. He's writing an article on streetcars in Terre Haute and, since IRM has the only remaining Terre Haute streetcar preserved as such, he came up to visit and see the 205.

So I showed him through the car, talked a bit about the history of streetcars in general and in Terre Haute specifically, and then took the 415 around the streetcar line to get a feel for how a car like the 205 would have been to ride. When the article appears online we'll let you know.
It wasn't raining Wednesday but it had been on Tuesday and my father had noticed a couple of leaks in the roof of Barn 8 over the CA&E cars. So since I was coming out to meet with the reporter, he drove out too after picking up some water abatement supplies. Here he is up on the roof of the 308 hanging some plastic so that the water won't just sit on the roof of the car. The 36 got some plastic too. I mainly served to hand up supplies and as the "safety watchman."
