Tax Collector's Getting Closer

Face it -- it's too late to do much about your 2009 taxes, except get your return in on time. But you can make a difference for 2010 with a tax-deductible* contribution to IRM. And we have many ways you can do good and feel good too. A few examples:

Track/Barn Space Funds: This is the method by which we accumulate the funds to build new barns. If you haven't tried restoring something that's been sitting outside, you may have no idea how much damage the weather can cause. Barns preserve our historic collection from slow but sure destruction.

Land Acquisition Fund: With the real estate market in a slump, we may have the opportunity to acquire more buffer zone land before it vanishes forever. But we need to have cash on hand to help insure the future of our Museum. It's not like we could ever pack up and move somewhere else!

Departments: They all do good work and deserve your support: Steam, Diesel, Coach, Electric Car, Track, Signals, Library, ... there's more than you might think.

Endowment: Investments to insure a steady stream of income for the future. "Help keep the lights on."
