Schmidt - Charles City Western

From the Schmidt Photo Collection, the Charles City and Western:

Loco at work
And as you may know, this loco is still at work -- occasionally.

Freight motor
I believe this must be CCW #303, which is still in existence as B&SV #53, not to be confused with CCW #53, seen below.  I read somewhere that this was built as an interurban combine in 1914 and rebuilt to a locomotive by Texas Electric in 1928, which seems implausible.   But stranger things have happened.

Work car (former Minneapolis street car) at Colwell

At Marble Rock
Car 53 was a 1910 Jewett built to a unique not-quite-center-entrance design for the Shore Line Electric Railway in Connecticut.  Unfortunately it was not preserved.

Hi,

Did anyone take measurements or make a scale drawing of Charles City Western 53, the ex Shore Line Car? I'd like to build a model of it. Thanks,

Charles

There is an article in the Electric Railway Journal May 20, 1911 about the Shore Line that gives the Dimensions and a floor plan of the cars. Try this link: https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Street_Railway_Journal/1wBGAQAAMAAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=Shore+Line+Electric+railway+center+Entrance+cars&pg=PR5&printsec=frontcover.
I found it by searching Google Books.
