In the "Not Really a Diner" department:
Near Searsport, Me. we came across this doodlebug carbody, presumably B&M, which was most recently the ice cream shop part of a restaurant. The whole establishment was for sale. It's uncommon to find a doodlebug reused like this, I think.

Up until about 4 years ago this car was on the Belfast and Moosehead lake RR. I recall it had 5 axles, the front truck was three axles. I am told it was a Maine Central car used for years between Bangor and the Collage in Orono.
We would often stop the train there and walk up for ice cream or burgers. The depot there has some fantastic photo's of the area from many years ago.
