Gregg Wolfersheim sends us another update on the IT line car 1702:
With the usual heavy workload at the museum, not much has happened on M35. Last month the diesel shop got rearranged, and M35 moved to track 24 from its long time spot on 21. Recently window 13 & 14 were removed for restoration. Sorry, no pics of that.
IT 1702, however, has
seen some noticeable changes. The lower area that contains the tool racks had
three coats of paint applied to the sheet metal:
Siding has been started at the number 2 end and is
progressing towards the motorman's window on the #1 end.
More siding is being prepared with some in primer and others
with a coat of Indian Red applied:
