Another update from Gregg Wolfersheim:
In the last episode, we were in the process of rebuilding several frames for the ceiling vents. This photo shows the results. It is installed over the ceiling panel between the car lines. You can see the sliding door is closed. This is over the heater room.
This is one of the frames over the passenger compartment.

The first ceiling light has been installed too. There are two more that will be put up this week.

So then a wood plank roof goes over the carlines and then canvas over that like an electric car roof?

Yes, I believe so. The carbody was built by St. Louis and they generally used the same basic techniques as on contemporary electric cars. Of course, there are no trolley poles and therefore no saddles or running boards, just ventilators.
And before anybody asks, the M-35 is about 20' longer than our standard interurban cars and I'm sure it won't go around the curves into Barn 4, so it won't fit into the roof booth. Sorry.
