Thursday Report

Another busy Thursday gives us several different views of activity in the car shop.

Mike was working on parts for the 1808, as usual, and here he is at the sandblaster, cleaning up seat frame pedestals.

Bill was working on various L car parts during the day.  Here he is touching up the Glyptal on one of the rebuilt traction motors for the 1754.

Here's a view of the commutator on the other motor.

Meanwhile, out on the wash track Gregg was cleaning up the 160 for the CERA visit on Saturday.  I also spent some time making sure the 319 was ready for its run.

And Tim spent all day making new wood parts for the 1808:

I finished tacking the canvas on the 460 and started ironing out the wrinkles.  More ironing will be needed at the ends, but I'm about ready to start painting the canvas.

And it's time once again for Bus Day at the railway museum.  That's this Saturday, the 24th.  Here you can see the trolley buses lined up in preparation.  If you're a bus fan, you won't want to miss it.
