Thursday was typically semi-busy day at the car shop. Let's see what was happening.
Tim was there as usual, and as always he has several different aspects of the 1808 restoration in progress. Part of the side of the car was badly rotted and needs structural work, so he's fixing that:
And here's the new floor at the west end in progress:
And Mike was hard at work cleaning up and removing seat frames, and removing worn parts of the floor that will be replaced:
Fritz continued to work on the 160's vestibule, but I didn't get a picture.
John continues on the 306. These upper sash windows are installed as a test, but he's planning to insert some rubber gasket material to make a better seal.
Here's a conundrum: the picture above is a pretty good reproduction of the actual colors, but this next one was taken with the same camera, same car, same lighting, and shows the yellow as a light green. Yuck. What gives???
But don't lose sleep over it, I sure won't. I spent the day tacking down the canvas on the 460. Both sides are now about 3/4 done. It's going along well.
There are some slight wrinkles, as always, but they can be ironed out.
